What you will be doing

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Purchasing Manager (buyer) and can expect to be involved in the following:

1. Organize procurement activities linked to one or several products/packages/suppliers multi-program, negotiate contractual framework with suppliers to obtain the best purchasing conditions for Airbus;

2. Contribute to sourcing activities, manage call for tenders and contract negotiations;

3. Monitor contracts all along their lifecycle (innovation, development, series production and support phases) with suppliers and internal partners of the Company in order to ensure full application of the terms and conditions;

4. Manage relationships with suppliers;

5. Participate in MFTs and R&T MFTs (multi-functional teams) ;

6. Work with Customer services representatives to define and implement Airbus aftermarket strategy for his/her perimeter, enabling new services and creating value for our Customers.

7. Work in an internal environment with most important aerospace companies (Honeywell, Collins Aerospace, SAFRAN, GE Aerospace, …)

8. Support the End to End aircraft lifecycle from design, to production until its support in operation within the different procurement teams.

Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

At the end of the two year development programme, you will have developed into the position of Purchasing Manager (buyer) !

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

• A degree level or equivalent within Business, Procurement or Engineering.
• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of purchasing
• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
