2. POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The position of Data Analyst within the Underwriting team at AXA Partners USA involves close collaboration with the Operations and Workforce departments. He will play a key role in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support organizational goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career while contributing to impactful projects and working with a collaborative team.

3. DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
  • Collect, process, and analyse large data sets to support business objectives and to identify key trends and insights.
  • Generate dashboards, visualizations and reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs.
  • Support business decisions by providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify trends, patterns and anomalies in data to provide actionable recommendations.
4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to handle missing, inconsistent or duplicate values.
  • Use Excel for data wrangling and analysis.
  • Build and design interactive dashboards using Power BI
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across teams and business units.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions or test hypotheses.
  • Translate business questions into measurable metrics and analytic approaches.
  • Improve and maintain current dashboard and reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity through validation and cleaning processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and new technologies in business intelligence, data analysis and visualization.
  • Other responsibilities might include ad-hoc projects in other departments.

Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, Power BI, SQL and Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to works with complex datasets.
  • Effective communication skills to present data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multicultural team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a similar role, internship or apprenticeship (work-study program) experience in data analysis or related fields.
  • Experience in handling large datasets or working with database management systems.
  • Experience with data visualization and automation tools such a Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate and PowerApps.
  • Required language skills: fluent in English
