Missions
The Engineering Team supports the Innovation Campus Delaware R&D groups with design, risk evaluation, pre-planning, installation of experimental setups, facility systems, and capital projects. Projects typically start at conception, through design, implementation, and startup.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support researchers in the conception, development and optimization of experimental setups
- Mechanical design, including layouts, piping systems, and 3D design
- System integration into controls systems
- Creation and review of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Write Technical and Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepare mechanical bid design specifications
- Work independently and in small teams, in a way that enhances team dynamics
Profil recherché
Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or other Engineering disciplineSoft and Hard Skills "Must have:
- Strong safety mindset
- Knowlege of computer aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCad and/or Solidworks
- Highly motivated and results-driven
- Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of industrial gasses and gas piping systems
- Ability to create P&ID and PFD for new and existing experimental systems
- Ability to create budgets and funding proposals for capital projects
- Project and construction management (budget and timeline)
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledgeable about 3D design
