Missions
Within the Legal Department of Societe Generale Luxembourg, the candidate will be attached to the Investment Management department and will participate in the handling of files and questions from the BUs and SUs of SG Luxembourg and its Luxembourg subsidiaries, in particular on matters related to banking and financial regulations.Given the diversity of Societe Generale Luxembourg's activities, the candidate must be able to address a variety of issues with interlocutors from different business lines and support functions. Training (and possibly experience) in banking law, Investment law, management companies regulation or a specialization in new technology law are an asset.
With good interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills, he/she must be able to have a global approach to banking legal issues and propose appropriate solutions. Given the international environment, a good command of writing and negotiation in English is essential. Any other language proficiency is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the participation of the legal department in SG Luxembourg or its Luxembourg subsidiaries (regulatory projects, organisational projects, projects relating to a business unit) in conjunction with the BU concerned
- Participate in the follow-up of regulatory projects and, if necessary, ensure coordination within the legal department of some of them
- Participate in legal watch within the legal department in conjunction with the advised business unit(s)
- Assist the BU(s) and SU in their transformation and business development projects
- Draft and modify relevant contract templates for the BU concerned incorporating the latest regulatory changes and apply them to all types of customers according to the service offer
- Negotiate contracts for services rendered by the relevant BU
- Participate in the handling of legal issues arising from the BU(s) and SUs concerned according to the field of activity advised
- Handle all files, questions, projects in order to identify areas of legal risk for the bank, evaluate them, share their existence, and participate in the management of the identified risks
- Keep up to date with the relevant banking and financial regulations according to the BU(s) concerned

Profil recherché

- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business Law/Financial Law
- A previous experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis in financial law would be appreciated
- Fluent in English (B2-C1)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
