Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Retrofit Solutions Engineering Electrical (f/m) to join our Retrofit Solutions team within Airbus’ Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France.
Part of Customer Service Engineering & Maintenance, the Retrofit Solutions organization has the mission to deliver and support value-added Retrofit Solutions packages to maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers operations and profitability.
Your will be part of a team of 10ish people in charge of delivering Service Bulletin (SB) dossier and associated engineering data related to electrical topics. The scope is applicable to both, fleet efficiency improvements through Standard SB and Upgrade Services on all Airbus fleet.

Your challenges:
Main accountabilities
- Deliver the SB Preparation dossier and associated Engineering data within the agreed T, C, Q targets for its scope of activities
- Ensure the right level of coordination with Engineering Centres to ensure TQ contributions when necessary
- Ensure the engineering quality of the final SB product
- Support & monitor subcontractors in these activities
Main activities
- Manage & coordinate the preparation phase of the SB after its launch until the handover with the Author
- Lead the engineering activities related to the SB and:
Perform the full Engineering configuration analysis
- Lead Design Data Set delivery
- Perform the Aircraft configuration steering with the support of Engineering when necessary
- Build the Definition Dossier for MOD under SIM responsibility
- Manage all deliverables in accordance with M20493, leveraging project management means: identify any risk & opportunity, propose mitigation plan, perform appropriate escalation and communicate to relevant stakeholders as necessary
- Provide Retrofit Solution Engineering technical expertise:
Before the SB launch to the RSL for Technical Offer or Maturity Assessment, being accountable of the Drawing impact analysis
- During SB Production to the Author
- Perform the Engineering Technical Check of the SB draft after its delivery
- Contribute to the Technical Approval phase on request when the Engineering expertise is required
- Support the SB validation & customer embodiment for RS Engineering scope (Working Parties / Queries / RDTS) after the SB dispatch
- Develop technical delegation for our major deliverables (Drawings, RDTS, SB)
- Support continuous business improvement (Process, Methods & Tools) and adhere to processes supporting quality & safety actions
Your boarding pass:
- Diploma in Aeronautics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in electrical technical areas or experience at MRO - Heavy Maintenance
- Experience in the Airbus change process and applications (ICC-ACP, ICC-CADB, MCT, …) , in Airframe, its PLM and specific tools (CATIA, GILDA, TAKSY…)
- Familiar with engineering drawings, understanding of Product Breakdown Structure
- Familiar with Airbus certification and configuration management processes
- Ability to consult DMU (BXL, A350, A380)
- Ability to analyze a complex problem and to propose simple solutions
- Technical Approver/Authorizer delegation(s) in ATA 92 is (are) a plus
- Ability to lead and coordinate an activity with customer keeping the safety as the first priority
- High level of personal accountability/responsibility and flexibility
- Good communication, team work, synthetic mindset and assertiveness
- Project & Stakeholders Management skills: ability to plan, prepare, coordinate and monitor, and to collaborate efficiently with partners
- Ability to work in a transnational organization with interfaces with engineering design offices, Customer Support and AIRBUS customers.
- Curious and open-minded for change and continuous improvement
- Quality mindset and adaptability to new Process, Methods and Tools
- Good level in English (written & spoken)
