We are seeking to appoint an accomplished and commercially astute Finance Business Partner - Operations to a newly established role to implement and deliver key financial strategy aligned to our global framework. This permanent, on-site role is based at our Clondalkin facility in Dublin 22 and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role offers a rare opportunity to influence the financial direction of a dynamic industrial organisation at the intersection of innovation, engineering excellence, and operational scale. As a key member of the finance team, you will serve as a strategic partner to operational leadership delivering financial insight, driving cost efficiency, and enabling data-led decision-making across production, supply chain, and engineering functions by contributing to the following activities:

1. Operational Finance & Cost Management
  • Design and implement the financial controlling framework for manufacturing, including cost center structures, product costing, and performance reporting tools.
  • Develop and manage production-related budgets and rolling forecasts (including material usage, direct labour, overheads, and energy consumption) .
  • Analyse and report on manufacturing variances such as standard vs actual cost, yield efficiency, labour utilisation, and inventory accuracy.
  • Generate timely, accurate reports for monthly close and production performance reviews — with accountability for accuracy, data integrity, and delivery timelines.
  • Track and explain KPIs such as cost per unit, scrap/rework rates, OEE-related financial impact, and stock variance, highlighting trends and root causes.
  • Participation in budget preparation once a year and yearly forecast landing revision on quarterly basis.
2. Business Partnering & Performance Insights
  • Act as the financial liaison to production, supply chain, maintenance, and quality teams; attend key planning and review meetings.
  • Present financial results, variance explanations, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership and shop floor stakeholders.
  • Provide real-time decision support for production scheduling, make-vs-buy assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor working capital tied up in stock and support cycle time improvements, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
3. Strategic Projects & Investment Support
  • Build robust business cases for capital expenditure, linking operational inputs with ROI, payback, and cash flow implications.
  • Lead financial modelling and scenario planning for strategic plant or process changes, including cost reduction or capacity expansion projects.
  • Measure financial outcomes of completed projects against original assumptions to track realisation and close feedback loops.
4. Systems, Controls & Reporting
  • Ensure accurate cost data and alignment across ERP and reporting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Excel) .
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to support daily and weekly decision-making.
  • Implement controls for stock valuation, WIP accuracy, and capital expenditure tracking in line with Group policies and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with Group and IT to align reporting tools, structures, and data governance for ongoing efficiency and compliance

Profil recherché

Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and data tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) .
  • Advanced Excel skills including modelling, scenario analysis, and dashboarding.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, routing, and margin analysis

  • Effective communicator able to translate complex data into practical insights for non-finance colleagues.
  • Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and interacting with production staff.
