Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse, France, is looking for a Technical Data Wiring Engineer (f/m) to join our Technical Data Systems Wiring & Schematics team.

The Operational Unit "Technical Data" is in charge of developing, delivering and supporting aircraft maintenance documentation.

Maintenance documentation is directly used by the customers (airlines, MRO, lessors) . It enables safe and efficient maintenance operations throughout the aircraft life cycle, following airworthiness requirements and regulations.

Technical Data is organized around 3 authoring domains and you will be able to integrate the “System Domain” (SIDY) which is in charge of all aircraft systems - such as Landing Gear, Power Plant and Wiring contents.

This position offers a wide view on electrical, electro-mechanical aircraft systems. We maintain direct relation with the Design Office / Upgrades / Suppliers, which manage the systems design and evolution pre and post-deliveries.

We are in charge of documenting each electrical system definition on Aircraft Schematics Manual/Diagram, Aircraft Wiring Manual/Diagram and Aircraft Wiring List for A320 Family, A330 Family, A350 and A380 programs.

We also directly support our customers, who are operating and maintaining the aircraft in case they have any questions related to Wiring documentations listed above.

In the perspective of increasing regulations constraints on delivery dates and growing digitalization in Airbus, this position is defined around the 3 below pillars that will enable to meet our business needs:

• Integrating the End to end historical way to produce the Technical Data for the electrical system definition (manual authoring)
• Participating and Integrating all projects impacting the Wiring domain.

* Ensuring that Wiring domain is delivering on-time all ICA related AWOs, by proactively acting as a focal point when blocking issues are identified.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the safety and the maintainability of all Airbus aircraft in operations by delivering a customized documentation (electrical consolidated view) ;
• Supporting any potential service issue and being proactive in case of Aircraft On Ground and/or questions raised by any customer via TechRequest tool;
• Solving and/or escalating any TechRequest having an impact on aircraft in operation or in pre-delivery regarding the overall Wiring Technical data products;
• Acting as a team player, communicating with colleagues from the 3 local ”Wiring & Schematic” Lines
• Mastering the end to end chain of authoring/production of the Aircraft Wiring Manual/Diagram (AWM-AWD) , Aircraft Schematic Manual/Diagram (ASM-ASD) and Aircraft Wiring List (AWL) products for A350, A380, A330 and A320 Families;
• Providing visibility and reliability on your work by defining planning, proposing software evolutions and deliver regular communications on achievements and difficulties/risks on production and also project sides;
• Monitoring the external subcontracted activities through regular Forecast follow up and performance’s KPI, challenge the status-quo, being able to extract data from official tool, to generate practical KPIs for the business follow-up, to influence positively the process, methods and tools evolutions,
• Accompanying, supporting, testing and promoting GenEWIS project (GenEWIS = Generation of Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) ;
• Accompany and support SIDYW organization (internal/external) for all coming changes from the DDMS - CAPITAL - SA LEAN PLM projects;
• Accompanying and supporting Predictive AWO project, supporting good ideas implementations,
• Establishing and maintaining efficient networking with Engineering and Suppliers. You will work in close cooperation with numerous interfaces: customer services departments, design offices, airlines, subcontractors, suppliers. You will act as a Wiring Technical Data focal point for the interfaced domains
• Working and contributing to the Process Method and Tools definition and evolution
• Working closely with all Transnational Work Package Leaders, by following up the defined AOP/Forcasts exercises. Working as a backup on production follow up when necessary. Harmonizing the best practices and way of working between external subcontractors.

Your boarding pass:

• Educated master’s degree or equivalent;
• Advanced English level (C1 level) ;
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and aeronautics is a plus;
• Previous experiences on project management and/or external subcontracting management is a plus.
