Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Navigation Software Responsible (m/f) to join our Ground Systems Navigation department in charge of the definition, development and validation of Navigation Algorithms, based in Toulouse, France.
Our department is now mainly working on EGNOS v3, the European Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) improving GALILEO and GPS performances.
You will be responsible for the production, test and release of SBAS Navigation algorithms, products and associated tools (C/C++/Python) .
You will develop your knowledge in the GNSS/SBAS domain, and participate to Airbus Defence & Space development in this exciting field.

Your challenges:
- Coordinate a team of software developers (including subcontractors) ,
- Plan, track and review software development activities,
- Ensure proper Software design and architecture based on input specifications,
- Develop GNSS Navigation Products and Algorithms (SBAS and for future Galileo projects) ,
- Set up and perform software automatic integration and testing following SW Factory processes (merging, Gitlab CI) ,
- Report to the Project Manager,
- Ensure synergy with other Navigation projects.
Your profile:
- Educated to Master degree level (or equivalent) in Software or Space Engineering with a specialization ideally in GNSS and/or Applied mathematics,
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development for Navigation,
- Coordination of software activities,
- Knowledge of GNSS domain, systems and standards, ideally Navigation Algorithms,
- C/C++ (incl. Qt framework + cmake knowledge) , Python 3,
- Git/Gitlab, including CI/CD and Dockerization,
- Good knowledge of Linux and shell/bash scripting,
- Requirements management and validation,
- Autonomy, reactivity and adaptability, Technical curiosity and pro-activity,
- Language Skills: negotiation level English and French.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
This role will involve some travels for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
