Missions

The context:
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Officer to support our growing operations across various African countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar & Tanzania) .
Providing essential support in driving HR initiatives and operations. Taking ownership of specific projects and processes, contributing to the strategic HR objectives and effective management of the workforce in the region.
This role offers an opportunity to develop your expertise in international HR and contribute to the growth of our operations across Africa. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong interest in international HR practices, particularly within the African context.

The activities:
You will contribute to:
1. HR Operations & Projects such as:
o Key HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee data management) , ensuring efficiency and compliance.
o Specific HR projects within the African region, from planning to implementation, under the guidance of the HR Business Partner.
o Analysis of HR data and generation of reports to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
o Development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
o Support in the execution of regional HR strategies and ad hoc projects

2.Talent Acquisition, such as:
o End-to-end recruitment processes for designated roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
o Development of relationships with recruitment agencies and local networks to build a strong talent pipeline.
o Follow-up of the market research and provide insights on talent trends and compensation benchmarks.

3.Employee Relations&Engagement, such as:
o Being a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
o Accountable for the resolution of employee relations issues, escalating complex matters to the HR Business Partner.
o Development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction.
o Support of the performance management process and assistance in the talent review preparations.

4. Compliance&Risk Mitigation:
o Monitoring compliance with local labor laws and regulations across the different countries of operation.
o Participation in internal audits to identify potential compliance risks and recommendation of corrective actions.
o Update on changes in labor legislation and best practices, and communicate relevant information to the HR Business Partner and managers.

5. Stakeholder Management&Communication:
o Development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, managers, and vendors.
o Preparation of presentations and reports to communicate HR initiatives and updates.
o Coordination with local HR contacts in various African countries.

Profil recherché

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on operations and project management.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with a keen interest in international HR.
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment processes and build strong talent pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, diverse business cultures and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS, reporting tools
  • Fluency in both English and French are essential; Other African languages and dialects are highly desirable.
  • Eligibility for a VIE contract is mandatory.
