Votre mission
We are seeking for the R&D Pharma in Toulouse a skilled Pharmacokinetics / Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) Scientist to support our Dermatology, Oncology & Rare Diseases Drug Discovery portfolio.
The ideal candidate will prove expertise in PK/PD, with an understanding of dermatological biology, skin‑targeted drug delivery, and translational sciences. This role is critical in guiding decision‑making from early discovery through candidate selection.
The PK/PD Scientist will partner closely with discovery biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, toxicology, and clinical development teams to optimize compound selection, design robust translational strategies.
The incumbent will collaborate in AI& data‑driven development of innovative therapies, understanding of how AI‑derived properties relate to downstream outcomes (PK, efficacy, safety, human dose) .
Your role within a pioneering company in full expansion:
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as the PK/PD and/or PBPK representative on multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide strategic input for compounds selection/prioritization, study design, assay prioritization, biomarker selection, and overall program strategy.
- Communicate modeling assumptions, results, and recommendations to scientific teams and senior decision‑makers.
PK/PD Modeling & Quantitative Sciences
- Characterize exposure–response relationships for efficacy, biomarkers, target engagement, and safety.
- Support dose and schedule optimization across modalities (small molecules, biologics, ADCs, topical/intradermal agents) .
- Integrate PK, PD, biomarker, and efficacy data to enable translational predictions and improve candidate selection.
- Support predictions of human PK, human effective dose and local vs systemic exposure.
- Use and refine PBPK models to project tissue distribution, including:
- tumor penetration (oncology)
- skin and dermal distribution (dermatology)
- Contribute PBPK analyses to IND enabling packages and early clinical strategy.
Oncology Drug Discovery Support
- Implement quantitative frameworks for tumor growth inhibition (TGI) models and immune‑oncology mechanisms.
- Support MoA exploration, combination‑strategy modeling, and therapeutic index assessment.
- Translate preclinical PK/PD and/or PBPK findings into first‑in‑human guidance.
Dermatology Drug Discovery Support
- Apply PK/PD and/or PBPK approaches to understand cutaneous absorption, skin barrier penetration, and dermal pharmacokinetics.
- Support optimization of topical formulations, systemic agents with skin‑selective activity, and disease‑relevant biomarker strategies.
- Integrate skin PK according to patient population, lesion‑level response, and biomarker data to guide lead optimization.
Software, Data Handling & Documentation
- Use industry‑standard tools (e.g., Phoenix NLME) to perform high‑quality modeling and simulation.
- Ensure rigorous documentation and reproducibility of modeling workflows, results, and insights.
- Author internal documents (as needed) .
This position is compatible with teleworking up to 2 days a week according to company rules.
We offer an attractive remuneration/benefits package: Incentives, profit-sharing, Pierre Fabre shareholding with matching contribution, health and provident insurance, 16 days of holidays (RTT) in addition to 25 days of personal holidays, public transport participation…
Qui êtes-vous ?
Your skills at the service of innovative projects:
Previous experience (+5 years) in integrated solution combining PK/PD and/or PBPK expertise with direct oncology and dermatology support, including mechanistic understanding and translational alignment for oncology/dermatology-focused drug discovery programs.
In particular:
- Integration of PK/PD and or PBPK modeling and biomarker strategies essential for translational validity.
- Ability to support both early discovery (PoM/PoP) and (pre) clinical translation ensuring continuity across the development pipeline.
- Experience in Oncology, including TGI modeling, immune‑oncology PK/PD, or modeling for SM biologics/ADCs.
- Focus on discovery & preclinical models relevant to dermatology, including topical delivery, local tissue PK, and skin barrier modeling (e.g., human skin explants, iPSC-derived keratinocytes, in vivo inflammation models…) .
- Collaboration with experts familiar with AI/in silico ADMET, interpreting AI outputs in biological context , oncology/dermatology-specific pharmacology, inflammation, and PD biomarkers enhancing predictive power.
- bespoke PK/PD and/or PBPK modeling, linking complex preclinical experiments to (pre) clinical strategy.
