In this role, you will deliver innovative analytics and genAI solutions for P&C (re) insurance, supporting business decisions and addressing emerging risks. Data is at the core of SCOR strategic plan Forward 2026 as one of its four enablers. The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) headed by the Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer is the unit responsible for the definition of the Data Strategy and its successful execution across the organization, through a well-governed data foundation, impactful data products and state-of-the-art advanced analytics / A.I. capabilities. DAO liaises with the business and other counterparts (CIO, COO) , to identify the areas of opportunity and shape the capabilities that generate true business value for SCOR, in line with the organization’s objectives.The DAO team, international and multi-cultural, mixes all skills (business, design, product, governance, engineering, analytics, AI) to make SCOR the reinsurer of tomorrow. Within the DAO, the Advanced Analytics & AI team is at the core of the unit, delivering the most impactful AI projects.
The (V.I.E.) Core Data Scientist is an expert in data manipulation and modeling data to extract value. Proficient in using state-of-the-art technologies to leverage the latest machine learning research and can provide support in applying these techniques. The ideal candidate will deliver advanced analytics and genAI projects in Property and Casualty (P&C) (re) insurance.
Within the P&C business unit, SCOR aims to bridge the protection gap by offering new products and improved services. As emerging risks, particularly climate change, grow, understanding these threats is crucial. Building resilience in this evolving landscape is both a challenge and an opportunity. For example, capturing better data through our genAI ecosystem helps us understand risks in cyber, agriculture, construction, and natural disasters.
As a member of the Advanced Analytics & AI Team, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, developing technical skills and deepening your understanding of AI in the (re) insurance industry.
Key duties and responsibilities :
- Contribute to P&C advanced analytics and generative AI projects
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers
- Present results to stakeholders; communicate complex topics clearly by applying appropriate interpretation techniques and visualization
- Serve as an ambassador and contribute to sharing data science knowledge internally
Profil recherché
Required Education :·Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial or similar quantitative field
Required experience & competencies :
Excellent programming skills & knowledge of Python.
Proficient in Gitlab, Databricks, Power BI, OpenAI service and Microsoft Azure cloud.
Strong communication skills.
Self-driven, strong in execution, team player and fast to understand business needs.
