PowerFlex is both a project development company and a product company and is majority owned by EDF Renewables.Scope of Job:
The Estimating Analyst will be primarily responsible for the creation of CAPEX estimates for turnkey C&I solar, battery storage, microgrid, and electric vehicle (EV) charging projects, including equipment and engineering costs and subcontracted labor costs. The estimating process will involve acting as a pre-contract project manager, coordinating with engineering, project management & business development, as well as outside vendors & subcontractors. Success in this role requires working on multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume sales environment, an eye for small details, and the drive to constantly improve processes and work product.
The Estimating Analyst will sit on the Estimating team within the Preconstruction Group & work closely with Origination, Analytics, Development Engineering, and Project Development teams.
Your responsibilities:
- Create accurate and timely CAPEX estimates.
- Thoroughly investigate the specifications, scope of work, drawings, other RFP documents and develops a complete understanding of the RFP requirements.
- Perform take-offs for materials and labor.
- Work with engineering and finance colleagues to identify, analyze, recommend, and implement cost and project value optimization improvements
- Request, receive, and validate quotes from vendors and subcontractors
Profil recherché
Education/Experience- Master's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction/Project Management, STEM, or similar.
- 2+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
- 2+ years of C&I renewable energy experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently and independently, self-starter, energetic
- Ability to conduct research and present solutions to management is a strong plus
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong communication (written and oral) skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Project Management Skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and markets
- Knowledge of electrical infrastructure
- Renewable energy industry experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly/occasionally
Working Conditions:
95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs) , phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings
