After two years of intense AI research and development at Ecole Normale Supérieure and Ecole Centrale Paris, HrFlow.ai was founded in June 2016 to solve the labor market and employment challenges at scale using the latest innovations in AI.
Having developed a proprietary AI and workflow technology from the ground up that unifies HR data silos, identifies the right candidates for the right jobs without bias, and automates it all, HrFlow.ai has already gained traction with over +1, 000 clients, large and small.

🚀 Your Mission
Join HrFlow.ai as a PhD (CIFRE) in collaboration with a Paris lab to advance AI in HR! Focus on Online Ranking/Learning & Algorithmic Fairness to build next-gen, equitable HR solutions. You'll tackle key AI challenges in HR, focusing on:
1️⃣ Online Ranking & Continual Learning:
- Develop adaptive online models for dynamic profile-job matching on the HrFlow.ai platform.
- Engineer systems for real-time model learning from user feedback and evolving data.
- Design novel architectures for online learning in HR.
2️⃣ Algorithmic Fairness in HR Tech:
- Pioneer methodologies for fair AI in HR scoring, mitigating recruitment bias.
- Study the impact of data, models, and feedback on fairness metrics.
- Analyze historical HR data to contrast human biases with AI's potential for objectivity.
👑 Responsibilities
- Lead state-of-the-art research in online learning & fairness for HR, contributing to HrFlow.ai’s innovation.
- Design, implement, and evaluate novel ML models for ranking and fair decision-making.
- Collaborate with HrFlow.ai engineers and product teams to translate research into impactful solutions.
- Publish in top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, RecSys, etc.) and present your work.
- Stay updated on the latest AI advancements relevant to HR Tech.
🎯 About You - Must Have
- PhD: Enrolled in or eligible to enroll in a PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Expertise: Strong ML background, with interest/experience in online learning, ranking, or algorithmic fairness.
- Skills: Proficient in Python & ML libraries (scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy) , and Deep learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch) .
- Research Acumen: Analytical, problem-solver, with potential for high-impact publications.
- Collaborative: Excellent communicator, team player.
