Présentation de la société :This position is a part of the Client Administration team in the Operations Department. The person will help to participate at the implementation of a new system which will replace the old one and be used by the whole company in Canada. Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed. The incumbent's primary responsibility will be supporting the Sr. Data Analyst with various analysis and validations. This support includes the execution of data analysis, various verifications, decoding data to match the reinsurance products, review of file load specifications and mappings, production data load, and other related business support efforts.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Work with the Sr. Data analyst on analysis of customer data.
- Use of pivot tables, SQL extracts, product descriptions, legal treaties and all other relevant documents.
- Prepare the mapping tables and perform a multitude of coding checks.
- Verify premiums related to all treaties by performing calculation formulas.
- Link customer data with the different reinsurance products.
- Detect inconsistencies and issues likely to create unexpected rejections and communicate the issues.
- Test expected results with predefined instructions.
- Maintain the various general registers by client and reports giving the structure, the treaties, the products, the particularities, the improvements to be made and the history of the operational processing.
- Participate in the continuous efforts of process improvement - identify the opportunities to increase the operational efficiency.
- Utilize data tools to research and resolve identified data issues and/or requested data mapping changes
- Prepare and upload customer files to an internal security site (Portal) .
- Index files according to a specific nomenclature in an underlying system (OMS) .
- Activate file uploads in the administrative system (hELIOS) .
- Analyze system rejections and take the necessary actions to finalize processing.
- Maintain the various general registers by client and reports giving the structure, the treaties, the products, the particularities, the improvements to be made and the history of the operational processing.
- Participate in the continuous efforts of process improvement - identify the opportunities to increase the operational efficiency.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Profil recherché
- Master's degree with major or emphasis in data sciences or actuarial sciences
- experience with data analysis tools
- Ability to interpret & analyze complex data sets.
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work closely on a team with business users to investigate
- Strong results orientation & organizational, follow-up, & follow-through skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
- Demonstrated ability to use technology (outside of MS Office) to interact with and manipulate data
- Experience with data mapping/ETL tools, SOL queries, and/or activities is an asset
- Ability to communicate and present issues/results in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
- Ability to balance numerous tasks & deadlines while maintaining professionalism at all times
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and improve processes

- Experience in a similar position desirable
- Reinsurance/insurance, product knowledge is an asset
