Poste et missions :
Assouline is seeking a V.I.E. Strategy and Business Development to support business analysis and strategic initiatives across all lines of the business. Reporting to the Strategy Director, this role plays a key part in identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvement, providing data-driven insights, and managing cross-functional projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our New York office.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Strategy Director in analyzing business performance and identifying opportunities to enhance financial results and brand equity.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of trading and performance data to inform business decisions and optimize operations.
- Assist in the development and coordination of strategic initiatives such as go-to-market plans, pricing strategies, product category expansion, and inventory optimization.
- Partner with internal teams to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate commercial and operational initiatives.
- Provide clear, impactful reporting and presentations for internal stakeholders, including the Executive team.
- Collaborate with teams across departments and geographies to support the implementation of key business initiatives.
- Leverage industry and competitive data to identify market trends and inform recommendations.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to internal teams as needed.
- Identification and development of new partnership opportunities (e.g., suppliers, clients, brands) .
- Support special projects in collaboration with external partners and cross-functional teams.
- Support day-to-day team operations by assisting with meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up on action items as needed
Profil recherché
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES- Business School (Ecole de Commerce) or University equivalent, Engineering (Ecole d’Ingénieur) with Business and Finance acumen, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, ideally within the consumer goods or retail industry.
- Prior experience in investment banking or strategy consulting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of business development and commercial strategy fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Proficiency in financial modeling is essential.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Shopify is strongly preferred.
- Strategic thinker with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- French language skills are a plus.
- A strong interest in the luxury industry is essential.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Flexible and hands-on team player, comfortable working across a wide range of tasks and responsibilities
