Poste et missions :

The Financial Analyst – Purchasing is responsible for providing financial analysis and P&L management for the Purchasing department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monthly Closing and Reporting for Purchasing:
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial closes in compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Purchasing teams to prepare and manage accruals and journal entries.
  • Identify and reconcile discrepancies between systems and reports.
  • Provide financial support to the Purchasing team (focused on Raw Materials, Packaging, and Fresh Apples categories) .
  • Deliver insights on business performance through monthly, and annual reports, monitoring trends and budget variances.
  • Track and analyze performance against budget, (Purchase Price Variance) P&L and related KPIs.
  • Monitor obsolescence expenses (e.g., depreciation) .
  • Track and provide insights into inventory valuation, sharing key takeaways with cross-functional teams.
Budget Preparation and Forecasting

o Support budgeting and reforecasting activities for Purchasing functions.

o Provide detailed P&L analysis and financial modeling for project-specific activities.

o Build forecasts and estimates to assess "year-to-go" and landing.

o Manage monthly updates on risks and opportunities in collaboration with the Purchasing department.

o Offer financial guidance to the Purchasing team in building key assumptions (e.g., standard costs, secondary costs) .

Strategic and Business Support

o Act as a business partner to drive continuous performance improvement and savings validation.

o Support strategic projects to updates financial KPIs (Savings, free cash flow impact, ROIs) .

o Support Private Label sales team in providing P&L and costings.

Tools, Systems, and Process Optimization

o Develop efficient methods to reduce manual work and enhance collaboration using tools like Power Query and Power BI.

o Collaborate with the IT team to establish a consistent and accurate data hub to expedite month-end closing.

o Streamline internal controls processes and workflows using tools such as Power Automate and Approvals.

o Support projects to improve cost tracking in production ERP (VIF) .

o Develop or revamp existing worksheet to augment automation efficiency.

Profil recherché

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business (with an Accounting focus) , or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting experience in an operational environment.
  • IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Experience with Big Four audit firms is preferred.
  • Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
