Your mission
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Translational Research Scientific Leader to join our growing Translational Research group within Pierre Fabre Medical Care R&D.
The candidate will be responsible for leading clinical translational activities, including the development of biomarker strategies that enable rigorous testing of therapeutic and mechanistic hypotheses within clinical programs, from early-stage to late-stage clinical development.

The internal R&D pipeline, supplemented with future external opportunities, will be central in shaping the future orientation of Pierre Fabre Medical Care.
The location of the position will be Toulouse, France, with flexibility in terms of commuting from France/Europe and home office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical biomarker and translational research strategies to advance new therapeutics within multidisciplinary teams. Engage with experts in clinical development, data science, PK/PD, and toxicology to execute plans, manage timelines, deliverables, budgets, and risk mitigation during clinical studies.
- Generate clinical biomarker data in collaboration with data scientists and interpret results to ensure a deep understanding of relevant biomarkers that support program transitions.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop comprehensive clinical documents and data management plans. Share responsibility for managing internal and external resources and generate high-quality documentation for decision-making. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement best practices.
- Select and oversee contract research organizations (CROs) and testing vendors to define deliverables, standards and success criteria. Ensure quality and timely processing of clinical samples and data reporting.
- Identify new trends, technologies, and opportunities in translational research. Participate in the scientific evaluation of external R&D opportunities.

Your profile
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD, MD/PhD or PharmD with post-doctoral experience in oncology, immuno-oncology, human genetics, molecular biology, or diagnostics.
- 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or clinical CRO
- Proven track record of leading translational science activities and executing biomarker strategies from preclinical to clinical development
- Proficiency with advanced technologies for identifying biomarkers from tissues and liquid biopsies, including NGS, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and multi-omics analyses.
- Knowledge of companion diagnostics (CDx) development and practical experience with big data are beneficial.
