SUMMARYThe Project Industrialization Engineer is responsible to implement industrialization processes in a new product development project.
The Project Industrialization Engineer is responsible to manage the industrialization activities at the supplier and inhouse with the production engineering team to support in the whole product development lyfecycle at the right level of requirements, service, quality monitoring, time plan implementation and risk mitigation.
The Project Industrialization Engineer is responsible to get project team’s input datas and suppliers deliverables for NPI.
The Project Industrialization Engineer will guarantee the product industrialization will meet the targets for Deliverables completeness, Industrialization NPI activities and to ensure a smooth production launch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce (execute) :
- Executes the GIP IRD Industrialization stage with Suppliers / EMS in order to take into account the industrial risks in the design : Supplier manufacturing facilities, pro-active obsolescence risk analysis, BOM optimization, , etc. in order to secure the capacity to manufacture and control quality level.
- Is Responsible of GIP Industrialization activities to meet TTM goals
- Is Responsible of project’s Requests for Quotation mangement by using commodity sourcing guidelines
- Builds the Make or Buy Analysis with input from Finance and Operations
- Audit and analyze suppliers industrial capacities
- Leads industrialization process at supplier including DfX (Design for Optimization) stages and product process quality plan
- Support design-to-cost phase in order to meet product cost target and optimizes value for final customer
- Administrate (report) :
- Is Responsible of building the Industrialization GIP activities and reports to Project Manager
- Reports industrial risks / opportunities during project stages
- Reports PPQA’s weekly updates
- Organizes supplier’s follow-up activities
- Undertake (enterprising mind) :
- Proposes innovative solution for design for Manufacturing
- Integrate (working with others) :
- Collaborates with Commodity Sourcing and Project Manager to find the right suppliers and monitors the relationship during the new product development process
- Provides R&D input datas to Supplier to realize Design for test and Design for manufacturing
- Challenges the Supplier and the project team to reach the targeted KPIs TTM and TTM
- Gives Production engineering information to validate NPI inhouse

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSM level in the European LMD (CEC level 7) – BS degree in the US (or equivalent work experience)
in engineering + a specialization in Industrialization
