You will take direct responsibility for managing the Supply Chain of a strategic new product category - vintage objects - set to launch in 2025. Additionally, you will support transversal analysis and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain function.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
New Product Category Management: Vintage Objects
- Oversee the full supply chain lifecycle for Assouline’s new Vintage Objects category, from pick up from the product vendor, to managing shipping with freight forwarders and carriers, and coordinating to final destination (points of sale and/or end consumer) .
- Collaborate with stakeholders from multiple departments and coordinate requirements, special instructions, timelines and logistics with Buying and Sales teams to ensure timely and secure movement of products.
- Ensure the safe packaging and handling of unique and fragile items, implementing appropriate protection and wrapping protocols, assess the need for added value services and insurance protection with freight vendors, forwarders and carriers.
- Research and study international trade rules, policies and compliance requirements for vintage objects of different nature, including those made with rare and protected materials, fish, wildlife and plants.
- Manage applications for permits, licenses, certifications with government and private agencies, both international and domestic; follow through any related audit if applicable.
- Develop, establish and share SOPs for managing the international trade and distribution of vintage objects.
- Run operational efficiency analyses (warehousing, freight, shipping costs, packaging materials, etc.) .
- Support the Supply Chain Director and Logistics Managers worldwide in managing 3PL (third-party logistics) partnerships: SLAs, performance, e-commerce & B2B services.
- Participate in and lead supply chain optimization projects, including tool implementation and process automation.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of new SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) .
- Contribute to KPI and dashboard development for performance tracking.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of reports to enhance visibility on supply chain-related matters across the company.
- Provide support during month-end closing: verifying that all POs are released on time.
- Assist with inventory reporting, ensuring accuracy across all locations (warehouses and retail) .
- Handle ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from the Supply Chain Director.
- Support the supply chain team with item master data entry, order entry and order management.
- Support the team in master data auditing and supports in maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Support the customer service team with seasonal peaks as needed.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning, Production, and IT.
- Any other reporting and data analysis duties as assigned by management
Profil recherché
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES- Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering (Ecole d’Ingénieur) , Business (Ecole de Commerce) , or related field.
- At least 2-3 years in Supply Chain, Operations or Logistics.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is required.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus (not required) .
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communicator; customer service mindset.
- Exposure to Executives reporting and communication.
- Autonomous, proactive, and highly adaptable.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
- Proficient English.
