Saint-Gobain ISOVER SA is Switzerland’s first manufacturer of insulation materials made from glass wool. With its headquarters and production site in Lucens in the canton of Vaud, the company has a workforce of around 170. The firm has been working on and supporting the further development of insulation materials since its foundation in 1937, and in the process, it places a considerable focus on sustainability. ISOVER products are often key elements of energy renovations or new builds and consist of about 80% recycled glass.

Poste et missions :

The center of CRIR located in Picardie gathers key competences, from R&D and engineering, to develop and support Isover plants worldwide.
You will take place at the center of the collaboration between CRIR teams and the production site of Lucens (Switzerland) . You will have the task to ensure on one hand the follow-up of R&D studies on site and on the other hand the industrialization of new technologies.

The main role

You will participate in several development projects linked to scraps reduction and product quality optimization:

You will have the following missions:
  • Understand, describe and document specific process steps.
  • Conduct R&D trials to test new solutions.
  • Collect and analyze data, capitalize knowledge.
  • Set up and validate relevant sensors.
  • Study the links between process and product quality.
  • Propose recommendations to optimize processes.
This is a 12-month mission, extendable once.

A plus for this role

You will have a one-month training in CRIR Center in France before your departure, in order to prepare you well for your VIE experience

Profil recherché

If you recognize yourself in the following, apply now:
  • Master’s degree in Process Engineering or any of the following specialties: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Hands-on and strong interest in field work.
  • Data analysis and syntheses skills.
  • Autonomous, with a strong team spirit.
  • Rigorous and detail oriented.
