Missions

We are looking for a Junior Sales Manager to be based in Moenchengladbach, Germany who will be responsible for selling a range of products, services and solutions to clients within the Wind Segment, with account responsibility and a strong focus on business development in Germany & within the European area !
The intent of this position is to develop incremental business and also sustainable growth of commercial margin and profitability.

SALES STRATEGY & ACTION PLAN:
  • He/she is responsible for the sales process, from prospecting to the elaboration of commercial proposals, and from order management to cash collection.
  • He/she represents Nexans at customers and prospects in the field, by executing the commercial action plan to maximise sales/commercial margin, in coherence with the pricing strategy defined for the segment.
SALES PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:
  • He/she executes targets and pilot sales achievements and objectives for him/herself and contributes to the segment’s marketing plans (revenue, commercial margin, customer and product portfolio, …) .
  • He/she consolidates and validates volume, revenue and margin forecasts per manufacturing location and key account on monthly basis.
  • He/she supports the management, animation and control of the sales activities in Germany for Wind and ensures the alignment and communication with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Quality, Sales Front and Back Offices, Finance…) in an international environment.
MANAGEMENT OF KEY ACCOUNTS:
  • He/she ensures the proper and timely preparation, validation and execution of contracts and negotiations for all customers in his/her portfolio.
  • He/she supports the development of constructive relationships with the key customers.
  • He/she drives market share and commercial margin improvement through a differentiated product and service offer that is developed and prepared well before the start of the negotiation.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
  • He/she continuously evaluates and captures opportunities for new customers, with profitable potential.
  • He/she is strongly involved in business development, collecting information on the next projects and anticipating negotiations.
MARGIN OPTIMIZATION:
  • He/she drives improvements in total Commercial Margin, and Commercial Margin as % of Sales for the Wind.
  • He/she deploys pricing policy.
  • He/she participates in product rationalization programs and specific initiatives to reduce complexity and plant profitability

Profil recherché

Bringing energy and enthusiasm as well as tenacity, the ideal candidate will need to be an autonomous, high-achieving individual, able to stand out in a challenging environment and outperform sales targets through personal drive.
  • He/she has a Master degree.
  • He/she is fluent level in English and ideally in German.
  • He/she is rigorous, analytical, autonomous, curious and pro-active, and demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
  • He/she has a first experience in Industrial Sales, especially in Wind business
